Lazy days

Holiday is going to end SOON (next week starting class)..SIGH!

Lately been doing nothing interesting.Just staying at home and trying to minimise movements cos the weather is so hot,move a little more and i have to go take a bath.So..what do i do?Eat,sleep,watch tv and read book (My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult..The book is okay.I find Silent Boy by Torey Hayden more interesting).The only time i go out is to fetch my brother from school and play badminton.Other than that..don't remember since the Old town and Fresh..

Maybe i should go out today for a change instead of sleeping since i have only a few more days before my holidays end..Badminton tonight,that's for sure and.."Aunty Amelia,deal.We go makan later..."

Why?

Why every semester will face problems with getting the textbooks?

First semester,got our textbook late but it was a good book.Second semester,got it very late and the book was not that good.Tried to get the other publisher but ALL the bookstores did not have it.Finally,after searching for so,so long (a month before exam) managed to get it from ebay.

Now,the third semester..Know that the college will be providing the 'not-that-good' book and will be late,so thought of taking a step earlier and get the book before lectures start.BUT..can't seem to find the book.Friend wanted to get from MPH but there is none.I tried finding on ebay but there is none.Tried the official website for that publisher but there is none.

Where else should i find?

My shoes

My shoes arrived way,way,WAY earlier than expected.It is so comfy and fits nicely.Now i REALLY have to find a dance class to attend..Anybody staying in AS who wants to learn dancing and be my partner?

Fun day

Today was really FUN.

Morning went out with sis.Though was a little sleepy but we still enjoyed ourselves..talking to the ladies and joking with them.I always thought that those people will be scary but they are not that bad,very friendly.

Had lunch while watching Korean movie online..Love story in Harvard.

Then it was a little gathering at Old Town.So nice to be able to see them.Some i have not seen for more than a year.So..a lot of catching up.

Went back to Convent after that as one of them had to fetch her sis from choral speaking practice.Looking at them practice reminded us of our time when we had to go spend our evenings in the same room...enjoyed ourselves a lot.

Finally...boss from the nursery asked us out for dinner.Ended quite early and wanted to go shopping or movies but one of the teachers needed to go back.

So..here i am now..blogging.Gonna continue with my last episode of the movie and then off to dreamland.Tomorrow morning MIGHT go for badminton... (After all the makan,need some exercise..jaga badan =D)

*Hopefully tomorrow will be another fun day...

Silent Boy

Silent boy by Torey Hayden..

I bought this book because the cover looks interesting.Thought will give it a try as it was not something that i usually read.And it turned out that it was way,way better than i had expected.

It is about this boy,Kevin who could talk but refused to for 8 years until this teacher (Torey Hayden) came along.Her persistent and love made him speak again.But there was more to it than Kevin not speaking.His tragic past,his fear of the world...and all that caused so many obstacles along the way but Torey did not give up.Though she thought of it but not once did she actually do it.She just knew that she was the only one who could help him and rescue him from the darkness..

I am not that good at book reviewing (may not be doing justice to the book) but it is really a good book.I am thinking of getting the others..

Some updates about my puppies

Remember my two puppies?Chiko and Poppy...

First of all,they are no longer small and cute.They are taller and stronger now.When they stand on their hind legs,they can reach my shoulders.

Besides their physical difference,their personalities are becoming more apparent nowadays.

Chiko..he is obedient.He is there when you call him and mostly does what he is told.He loves to eat and play with ball (wonder what happened to the rubber balls i bought for him).He is more attached to me compared to Poppy,maybe because i was the one who was bathing him every 5 days when his skin had problem..so he is kind of 'manja' with me sometimes.But,he is not smart compared to Poppy.

Poppy...i think is the total opposite of Chiko.She is not obedient.She only does what she likes.She eats when she wants to.She loves to play but not with toys.She always teases with Chiko and Brownie so that they will play with her.And..she is very smart.She knows how to pick up the mangos that dropped from the tree,bring them to the garden,tear the newspaper wrapping them and eat them.She knows how to open the gate that we locked them in.And today,i realised she also knows how to go get the letters.Unfortunately,the letters do not end up at our door.They are torn into pieces on the garden.We didn't teach her any of that..she just learnt from watching us doing it.Mum suggested that we should do something else and see if she will learn.

Kuala Kedah

After having a really full day...my appetite was really VERY GOOD..

Started my day early yesterday..7.15am to get ready for badminton.2 hours of nonstop badminton.Feels so nice to be dripping wet in sweat.Should do it more often.

After that,was out with friends until 3something..So,so tired when i got home after that..Eyes could barely open.Took a 2 hours 'nap'.

Woke up at 6pm and less than 30minutes later..was out with sis and bro,jogging.Could only do 5 small rounds.Not used to jogging so the tummy hurts.And also i was scared that my legs will be aching from too much of exercise.

So..by dinner time..you can imagine how HUNGRY i was from the day of exercise (no breakfast,only a plate of fried noodles for lunch).Parents decided to go Kuala Kedah for seafood..ordered fried crabs with chillies,steamed prawns with a little wine,tomyam 'lala',steamed fish,fried soft-shelled crabs and kerabu.Really whacked the food.Even though i know that my hardwork of exercising will be a waste,but who cares.When the food is so nice..irresistable.It has also been some time since i really ate that much (Think the last time was when i went to Seoul Garden when i was so full that it was so difficult to keep my eyes open in the cinema).

Memories

When i look through these books...they bring back so much memories from my school days.How i miss those good,old days with my bunch of good friends and also from the class as a whole.

Some random memories..

My bunch of close friends and i (around 6 or 7 of us) will take turns to bring something to school.We had nasi lemak,fried rice,noodles,spaghetti...You might think that these are normal stuff that everyone brings to school.But..what about these?
Bringing our electric kettle to boil water (carried water all the way from home) to cook our cup noodles.We had to time it so that every cup will be done by recess and that was not easy when we needed to boil the water a few times and lessons were on.
Another time,we brought our sandwich maker to school.And so happen that day,it was raining.Nice,hot sandwich on a rainy day..SO PERFECT.
We cooked in the class but ate on the stairs just outside our class.I remember people walking down the stairs and staring at us enjoying our food.
We adore this teacher a lot (our form teacher) so every time we bring something we will make sure she is included.When we brought cup noodles,we will ask her what flavour she prefers.The cute thing is when we passed it to her during recess.She had to try to bring the food in without the other teachers realising it.Just in case they get jealous.. =) How not to enjoy myself in school?

During teacher's day,a friend of mine brought 'miang kam'.I think our class teacher tried it and it was so nice that she told other teachers about it and the word just spread around.So many teachers came to our class after that.We had fun serving,showing them how to eat and watching them try.

There was the birthday celebration for everyone.Our class teacher bought each and every one of us (45 of us) a cake with our names on it.The bakery sent a van to deliver them.We were so excited when the van came but could not show it cos she didn't want the whole school to know.But i think the whole school knew cos we were all going home with a cake and a big smile on our faces.Thank you,madam..

Cinema..One of my friend brought her laptop to school.It was somewhere near the holidays,so we were quite free.The same bunch of crazy friends and i think a few more came out with this idea..we squeezed in a small room in our class,locked the door and watched movie from her laptop.It was just like in a cinema..dark and cold (there was a big hole in the room and the cold air from the library flowed into the room) but not as comfy as in the cinemas cos we were packed like sardines.Our legs were aching so badly after squeezing for two hours but we still enjoyed ourselves.

These are some that i can think of right now..Will blog about it when i remember more (Friends,if you can think of any that i have forgotten..leave me a comment so that i can blog about it the next time,okay?)
