Holidays with friends

Almost every holiday,my family and a family friend will do something INTERESTING.Maybe not to some of you,but it is to us cause we do it together and it will be like a craze for that period before we get sick of it then find another thing to occupy ourselves.

The first i remembered...if i am not mistaken,was playing badminton.We would spend every Thursday evenings in the court.Imagine..right after school,mummy will get us ready and then off we go to the court until 5pm.After that,we would go for makan.Not heavy stuff...curry puffs,sugarcane drink,fried bananas or keropok lekor...It was so much fun and i don't know why we stopped suddenly.

The next was.....swimming.We had to go shopping for the attire.The boys were getting coaching so the girls and ladies....just hang around and enjoy ourselves.Was fun too..just that sometimes when there was crowd and the pool is JUST THAT BIG...then it will be a little uncomfortable.So,we ended up swimming at night.Usually we will go on Monday cause it was the ladies' night.The boys could join in because they were still below 12 years old.Now,they are not allowed anymore.If we were to start the craze again..either we leave them out or join the crowd.

Then...there was hiking and playing ping pong.These two did not last that long...Why?Let's start with hiking...It really needs you to be discipline to start doing it because the torture of climbing....the stamina needed...is WAY TOO MUCH.I did enjoy myself also but....that was when i could rest at the TOP OF THE HILL.The scenery and the air...made me forget of all the torture when going up.Really...That breathtaking.So i only felt worth doing it only for that second and also when i had the appetite to eat 2 plates of noodles.The rest...was okay only.The ping pong...One thing is because i am not good at it.Haven't played it before so the ball was like flying so high in the air.Couldn't really play that well...maybe not couldn't but didn't play well at all.The adults were good.Spinning the ball and all the tricks..i could only watch.If i could play that well then maybe i will enjoy it.

After that...i think it was crafts...making cards and those things that can stick at the window.Those were fun and mind challenging...for those like me who are only so-so at arts.But then the nice thing is all the gadgets that the friend bought.Cost a lot so i can 'pinjam' hers.That was another type of fun.But i don't remember if the boys participated..maybe when making the window thing but the card....i don't think so.Really can't remember.

Is there anymore from the past....?I think that's about it.

And now we come to the present...Test driving car.I have never test drive nor gone for a test drive before.And i experienced that two days in a row.Imagine..But then,the sales person has to be friendly.If not,will feel so uncomfortable.We tried...Rush and Nautika.Both are the same except Rush can accommodate 7 people while Nautika only five and Rush is bumpier or what the small girl will say like riding a horse.Oh...by the way,i went as the passenger behind.Not the one who is actually getting any of the cars.I still can't afford any of those..actually not only those but all the cars.I think i can only afford to get a bike..hopefully.If not then worst come to worst...a bicycle.Not the ones with super gadget.Aih....

But i am on my way to getting a car....

How?

Since my sister and i are older now,we decided to start on financial stuff.We are learning how to manage our own accounts and $$$ of course.How fun is that?And all the mental calculation...SO SO INTERESTING...i think my eyes are filled with $$ sign =) Had my first online account today and i can transfer my money from savings to fixed deposit just by a click...and that also means..i can earn more money through the interest...BUT...spend less on shopping.Not that i can't shop but just spend less so i think it is bearable.Suffer around 10 years or so then i can spend comfortably...how bad can that be?Just for 10 years,right?Better than for the rest of my life.So...this is GOOD,THE BEST.One BIG step towards reaching my goal.THANKS A LOT!I will definitely remember to 'belanja' you when THE TIME comes.

Now you see how important good friends are especially family friends..The fun and enjoyment can never end.

Miko at home

Last weekend,my family and i decided to go back to Lunas to visit my grandmother and also my cousin who came back from China.It was just a two days one night trip.

When we return,it was almost midnight and everyone was so tired.My brother entered the house and went straight to the room to get ready to sleep.Because his mattress was folded,he had to open it.To his surprise,he found our pet tortoise,Miko sleeping on his mattress and pillow.

I found this tortoise when i was sending my brother to tuition one evening.It was on the road and there was no river nearby.So i called my father to ask him to come and see what can be done cause i wouldn't want it to be run over by a car.My father came and decided to take it back home and keep it as a pet.Since that day,he is like the king of the house.He only likes bananas AT FIRST and he wants to be FED...as in,you take a fork like thing and put the food and feed him.That is how pampered he is.And when it rains,because he is free to go anywhere in the garden,he will come into the house.Don't ask me why..I don't know.I know that they are suppose to like water but this KING doesn't.So....that is about what he does and now...he is sleeping on the mattress.Can you find another LUCKIER tortoise?

As you all can see,he is SO RELAXED...his four legs,tail and head is out.Usually if anybody goes near,he will hide in the shell.But this time...he is not bothered.

I can't imagine if we were out for another day or two.I wonder what else will he be capable of...Cook himself meals?Take a bath?Watch the tv?Play the piano?

And some people can think that animals are....not smart.

Ashes of dreams

I think i have mentioned before that my new hobby is to look for cheap books to purchase.And this is one book that i found on my last trip.

The book only costs RM9.90 and it is so worth buying it.Why?

I used to buy books about people's life and all those China stories such as Empress Orchid.Then one day when i was in Popular,i decided to try books on romance.So,i bought this book and another one..Goodnight,Sweetheart.

I delayed reading this cause it doesn't look that interesting to me.Until yesterday when i was so bored that i decided to start.Once i started,i really cannot put the book down.I was watching badminton at that time while reading the book and ended up going to my room to enjoy the book only.I was up reading until 1.30am.And this morning when i woke up,first thing was grab the book and continue reading until now.I just finish reading it.

The story is about a widow who had to care for three sons and her father-in-law who injured himself from a fall.Her husband died supposedly because he was killed by the stallion he loved the most.She had to endure the hardship of life.One day,a gentleman arrived with his 'son' to help her out and that is when both their worlds changed into what they had not expected.

I am not so good at briefing the story so it may sound NOT SO INTERESTING.But reality IT IS.So,it you happen to see the book in a bookstore...you can consider getting it.

Visit to TESCO

Just now,went to TESCO with family friend and sister.What is so special?It just opened today.There was a crowd and quite difficult to get parking but it was still bearable as it is a working day.I bet tomorrow will be pack like sardin.

The place overall.....it is new so can't be dirty or anything negative.We spent 30 minutes walking round surveying the place.Didn't really shop for anything.Bought only the BIG APPLE doughnuts which were suppose to be famous and delicious (They are delicious but i advise you to cut it into quarters because too much of one makes you...GELI)

Haven't entered the TESCO though.That should be the only BIG place cause the rest are all small shop lots.So...when i enter TESCO then only tell you all about it.

Teacher's Day

Today,at nursery,we celebrated Teacher's Day.Started off with no reading..which also means no need to work cause reading is the thing i have to do.So,it was playing with the kids the whole day and eating lots of food.

Thursday is play day so we had that.After that was circle time where the kids sit down and sing some songs.It is actually for the kids to rest before the next session begins.Usually it would be handwork time after that but today they had games to play instead.

After an hour of game or so...the kids were getting really restless and HUNGRY.So we decided to give them some cakes.Home made pandan chiffon cake.Yummy...

Then it was lunch time for the children.They had fried hor fun,nuggets and cakes.Most of the older kids went for second helping or more.They really filled their tummy till it was hard.

Looking and smelling the kids' food made the teachers so hungry that we couldn't resist STEALING some of their food as well.So,by the time it was out turn to have lunch we were half full.But still we ate and ate a lot did we.There were....fried hor fun,nuggets,pandan cake,fried chicken,fried prawns with salted eggs,fruit tart,blueberry cheese tart,kuih(forgot what it is called),peanut bun,raisin bun,honeydew,papaya.....i think that's all.So imagine our tummies....bloated like the kids' as well.

Oh not to forget...we received presents from the kids and the boss.These are my presents....

It is quite fun to be a teacher also,right?

P.S. I love you

I went shopping with my sister yesterday to get some books at Popular.After finishing what we were suppose to do,we decided to have a look at DVDs.Nowadays,it has been work and nothing else so thought that a movie or two would be nice.

We look through everything on display but none caught our eyes.Was quite disappointed.Then,when we were about to leave the shop,my sister's wonderful eyes spotted this DVD,P.S. I Love You.I read the book and it was a very nice story.I heard that the movie is good too.So,we bought it.



The beginning was..funny,sweet,romantic...
After that..it was all a rollercoaster ride.Sad,funny,a little romance here and there...
Ending...i actually don't know how i feel.It was not entirely HAPPY or was it entirely SAD.

Quite a unique movie.So i think those who haven't watch it...it is okay to watch.

Kids

How can anyone not like kids?Look at these photos i took...

Aren't they cute and adorable?These are only photos.When you hear them talk with or see them play with their friends,they are even cuter.You can trust me because if not,why do you think i keep going back to work at the nursery?

One thing i learnt,if you want a kid to like you,you have to be sincere with them.Really like them with your heart.Then they will come to you.How do i know?Well,how do you think i managed to get the kids to take photo with me?

I am not boasting about how much the kids like me.I don't bribe them or be super nice with them.Sometimes i do scold them when they are not behaving well.But they still come because they know that you scold because they are wrong and that you actually care about them.The children can sense the sincerity and the honesty.That is what you need when handling kids.

Mother's Day at nursery

Every Thursday,in the nursery,the children will have handwork to do.Sometimes it will be just a simple drawing where the colour,sometimes it will be making something..but all those are based on the themes for the week.

As Mother's Day is coming,we had to think of something for them to prepare for their mummies.So,we came out with idea to make this...

It was suppose to be a teacher's job to prepare the things.But,she kept asking me to help out with the preparation until the end,it was like i was incharge of it.

Tuesday,i went out with the boss to get the stuff.First time i am not there at the nursery during work and also first time i drove her around town.We went to get the paper and the ribbons.Then,we went to TMNet to ask about her internet stuff.By the time i was back,it was already time for the kids to eat and after that was their bathing time.So,i didn't have time to do my reading with the kids.

Wednesday,it was making the sample of the handwork.I did a little reading only because the teachers had a meeting.So,the helpers had to take care of all the children.It is really not easy.I tried to get them to sing..and they did...but after every song,i had to ask them to keep quiet.Later,decided to tell them a story.That was the ONLY time i managed to get their attention.Was quite fun telling stories especially when you know that they are paying attention to what you are saying.After the story telling,i was really tired.No more energy to ask them to keep quiet and the teachers also knew that they were restless.So,they went down for their lessons with the boss's husband.When the teachers were done,it was back to normal but my reading was not finished again.

Thursday...did a little reading and then it was playtime.After that was handwork.I helped out with the older kids as they couldn't really do it.Most of the things were done by the teachers.They only helped to fill in the leaves.And the rest...teacher's job.

Overall,it was a fun week after the boring and horrible days.Maybe God actually heard me and gave me so many things to do to occupy my free time =)

Why?

Why when i am not in the mood,my fishes have to die?

I just found another dead fish..in my tank.I have been having this fish the longest..since i started..which is january till now.And it has to suddenly DIE especially when SO MANY fishes have died.

This week has been the worst week.Everyday there is definitely something terribly horrible.

Can't it get any better?

Horrible days

Friday (when back home after the trip),Saturday and Sunday are three horrible days......

Friday....when reached home,not only was it late and i was sleepy,had to help carry all the luggage down from the car.Once reach my room was greeted by two dead fishes.When it was time to sleep,whole body was aching due to the long journey and didn't get a good night sleep.

Saturday....woke up feeling dizzy.Don't know why but i think most probably because of the medicine i took to prevent car sick and also tired from the journey.At night went shopping to get some stuff and came back empty-handed.I felt so disappointed because if i were to go out shopping,i like to come back with something.But what to do..It just wasn't mean to be my shopping day.Then i had a terrible headache and was feeling slightly hot.So i had to go sleep at 10pm which is very early.

Sunday...back to work.Was feeling a slight dizziness only.So was glad that it was over.But then something just has to happen.Before going to work,when outside to feed the fish in the pond and to my horror...there were FIVE dead fish.There were dead because of the layer of oil in the water.Why is there a layer?I don't know.When i fed on Saturday there was none.So..came back from work and had to dispose the fish and found another one dead.So all together there were SIX.Then,i had to change the water in the pond.

What a weekend......Hopefully no more 'wonderful' happenings...

Cameron Highlands

Last Thursday,my family went to Cameron Highlands organised by my first aunty.There were twenty four people all together,consisting mostly my relatives.

We started our journey at 7am from Lunas.All the way there we were so excited and can't wait to feel cold.The highway was okay...but when the winding road started...it wasn't that fun for me.Since i couldn't take photos...i asked my brother to help me out.So..these are the photos he took.

When we arrived,i was feeling a little sick and the air...which was suppose to be cold...was such a disappointment.It felt the same as it is back home.It was still that hot.Maybe when there was wind,then it was a little cold.

The first place we stopped was when we saw our relatives at a row of shops buying stuff.We must stop too!And so we did.As it was a public holiday,there was quite a big crowd.Plus the hot sun,it wasn't so much fun.But then...after awhile..when i started seeing more and more things that are so nice...all the 'not nice-ness' in me was gone.The tummy was okay and the sun wasn't so hot anymore.All i was thinking of was....WOW! NICE! WANT TO BUY? WANT TO TRY? And these were the wonderful things....

I didn't think i will be having ice-cream in a cold place..but i did because it was hot..and it was strawberry ice-cream.Yummy...

After buying and eating lots of stuff...didn't take the food photos cause before i can take,it was all eaten.Hungry people...

We were suppose to have lunch at the house we will be staying..Star Regency but then it was not done yet.They were still cleaning the place.So we ended up having our lunch...picnic style at....

After filling our stomach,it was back to another round of visiting places..looking at plants and shopping..before heading back to have a rest.

Back to rest at last...The place was awesome.Unfortunately,it was SO AWESOME till i forgot to take any photos.It was the last floor of the hotel.Each house has three floors.The first floor..kitchen,living room,dining and one bedroom.The second floor...three bedroom and another living room.The third floor...and open space which can be used as a bedroom.So,we rented two houses side-by-side.The house that i stayed in was bigger so that was the main place for meals.

The place where we stayed was quite a strategic place as there was plenty of places to visit nearby.That was a good thing cause if we were to drive then most of the time will be spent stuck in jam.

There happened to be a pasar malam nearby.So there was where we went next.And it wasn't after a long rest.Because the pasar malam..which is actually suppose to be at night..started at 3pm.How can we resist when it is in front of our eyes?No photos taken there cause it was too crowded.

It was my brother's birthday..so we bought him a cake to celebrate at night from this shop.

I didn't go out after that.Was so tired from the journey and also from the walking.So the night was spent watching tv and finally enjoying the cold air.It was really cold then.

The next day,after breakfast we headed out again.And this time...we really went all strawberry frenzy...

Before heading back home,we stopped by at Tea House to have tea and scones.I am not sure if the recommendation that i heard was fresh strawberries and cream on scones or strawberry jam and cream...but it was so EXPENSIVE.A set of two scones costs RM12..which is RM6 a scone and it was so small.Really not worth but the place was nice.....

Finally it was back,back,back home...I was so afraid that i will be car sick so i took medicine to prevent it and thanks to it....i slept the whole way back.

It was really a fun trip especially when all the people there are the ones you know.Now,we are thinking of planning another trip but to Thailand this time.If i blog about it then you will know it is successful.If not then..the plan didn't turn out.Hopefully it does....
