Everything

Wow..Another day and it will be December, the last month of 2011.This year it seems like my blog entries have reduced quite significantly. Will try to be a better blogger the next year, hopefully.

Many things happened this year which i never ever thought would. The first would be studying in KL,in Sunway College. It was really an eye opening experience and i was glad to be able to share it with my sister. We had many 'first' in this period, first time going on plane without family, first time driving to KL,first time driving in KL,first time preparing and planning our meals and etc...It wasn't easy to be away from home and having to be so independent but i think we still managed to enjoy ourselves at the end of the day.

This year,we lost our dog,Brownie. He has been with us since he was a puppy, from when we stayed at a rented house to the current house we are living, and that is more 15 years.I still remember the day my papa brought him back..this little brown puppy, hiding under the sofa.An intelligent, playful and fierce dog but lovable..We really miss having him around.

Major house renovation...We had stayed in this house more than 10 years and after the flood, parents decided that it needs some modification. And now,we all have our own rooms, which is really amazing.Enjoying every space of the house especially the kitchen a lot.We have been cooking and baking and it really feels nice.

The end of my study life is almost coming (if i pass my exams which i am taking next week). It feels....weird right now, when i can finally put down the books and not having to worry about exams anymore.17 years of studying, that is really not a short period of time. So,to be able to adjust and get used to it,i think will take a little time.Anyway,i hope that working life will be alright and i won't miss study life too much.

People come and people go,that's the way of life.I lost an uncle this year, someone i never thought will leave us this early. He was a health-conscious man but somehow, something happened along the way and made him ill.Doctors, specialists and traditional healers were consulted, prayers were made and even spiritual healer was sought, but none could help him.Till today, none of us know what that something was that took his life.

And i learnt a few things about love.Love is important in a relationship.Without love,it will not work out no matter how hard you try.Love is also blind. You can be the wisest person, but when you fall in love, you can make the stupidest decision.Someone like you by Adele,"Sometimes it last in love but sometimes it hurts instead".Love can hurt sometimes, like a thousand arrows piercing through your heart, but you will learn from that.Learn to not be so blinded,to see whether it is the love you are looking for and to move on from there. Finally, you don't have to own someone to be able to love them.To let them go and find their happiness is also a way of loving.
(I hope that we will not regret the decisions we made,we will be able find our happiness and love the one we chose)

I am very blessed to have my friends.I appreciate what you have done for me,being there for me...no matter whether it was a sunny or rainy day,no matter whether i was being mean or nice,no matter whether i was looking like a crazy person.Thank you so much!

These are the big events in my life for this year...it is not the end yet,so there might be another post.I hope i won't be too lazy or too busy enjoying the holidays.

Got to call it a night now...Tomorrow is another long day of study study study.Hope i will do well for my exams.

Random

This post is really going to be like the title..very random, covering everything that has happened since i last blogged or is happening.

My house renovation is finally going to end soon.Kitchen cabinets are getting fixed, the cupboards for the bedrooms are coming together too..Just the little touches. My room will hopefully be done by next week cos the only thing missing is the cupboard now.It is getting custom made and is suppose to be ready on Sunday. My bed received a new coat of paint and it looks brand new now. Can't wait for everything to in place and see the final result.

Grandma came to visit last week.It is still difficult for her to accept the passing of my uncle but we try our best to talk to her.I spent the first night talking to her till almost 2am,listening to her 'what if' and 'why'.After the first night,we (siblings and i) decided to use another approach which is to play mahjong to distract her.The first night of mahjong went well.No money involved, just playing for the fun of it.The following nights, grandma suggested betting a little to make it more interesting. So that's what we did for 2 or 3 nights till early in the morning.Mummy would wake up in the middle of her sleep and tell us to stop, but we still carried on.How naughty of us and grandma... =P

If you have seen my post before this, there is one about the pets we have at home. One of them is our first dog,Brownie. He is now more than 15 years old and is almost completely blind. He walks into things especially during the renovation.Recently,we noticed that his legs are becoming weak and he pants too much.It is heart breaking to watch him suffer like this but it is equally as bad to consider putting him to sleep. We haven't decided on what to do,just trying to be more aware of his needs and making him as comfy as we can.

My results from June's exams are out.I am really very glad i made it this time. With the first time failure, demotivation, renovation, falling sick a few days before exam...there is nothing more i could wish for.I am now left with 2 papers and i will be done with ACCA for good. That means i have to start preparing and focusing on my goal.

Last week,i attended my dance class again. It is really amazing how i never fail to enjoy myself when i am there. So much laughter especially with the uncle (80 years old) who dances better than me.We would partner and then he would teach me new steps he learned from Youtube. When class ended,i had a chat about dancing shoes with a girl who has been there for quite some time but we seldom talk cos she usually speaks Mandarin and i am not good at it.The uncle felt quite left out cos i would always talk to him and we would walk down to the car together. But it was all okay after that.He even teased about us driving him to Penang and treating him to a meal there.

My current craze is nail polishes.I have been getting at least one a week.Like painting my toe nails see how they turn out. When i am back home, even persuaded mummy and grandma to let me do it for them.

I have been playing badminton quite often recently since i am around when my parents play. So,i can join them and exercise a little instead of being a couch potato at home.It is also sort of a family time since if my brother is back,he joins too and after badminton,we usually go for our dinner.Because i play badminton nowadays,my brother got a new shoe and mine is about to kaput..i have been looking around for a new one and i just can't take my eyes off this.Love the colour!

I am kind of bored seeing myself in this same hairstyle so i have been considering to curl it.Erny and sis are also thinking of doing it so we might get them done together. But,i am really afraid that i will not get used to the look and might think that i have just wasted my money on something really unnecessary. What do you think?Should i try or not?

Sis and me have created a record of using all the public transport in around 6 hours..It started from plane, then bus,ktm komuter and finally taxi. That's our way of travelling when don't drive and still want to save money, but it is VERY TIRING.

I think that's all...Better study a little now before i start feeling sleepy.

Great Pyrenees

I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS DOG!!!

During my trip to Korea, saw this HUGE dog when we stopped at a restaurant for breakfast. From far,it already looks big so you can imagine when we got near. The biggest dog i have seen is a St. Bernard and this is way bigger than that. For a dog that size, one would think that it will be inactive and slow but it turned out the total opposite. It started getting excited when we went nearer and running around its enclosure.

I wish to have one as my pet in the future.Unfortunately,it is not available in Malaysia.Guess i will have to import it which also means more $$$ is needed.Got to save up for this =)

Up the wall

Some things just drives me up the wall,
And one of them is YOU.

Has been quite some time,
since i have gone on a roller coaster,
and the last week,
has been the worst.

I do not want to care,
or bother,
about what happens anymore.
Why should i waste my time?

Concentrate on my studies now,
and get what i want later.
It is not that i can't afford it.
When i do get it,
I will make sure,
nothing like this happens,
AT ALL...

Fate

Just a few days,
And i am thinking of you so much.
Miss having you around,
even when you give me headaches.

Let fate decide,
If you will come back to me,
Or not...

L is for LEXIE

A few days ago,Erny called to ask me whether i wanted a puppy. As you all know,i love dogs (not only me but my family too) but we currently have three..so,asked a friend whether he wanted it.After looking at her photos,he fell in love with her.So..i am now puppy-sitting her. These few days that i spent with her was AWESOME.

This is a little about Lexie, the Poodle puppy.

She is really an attention seeker.
Once out of her sight, she will start to cry.

When she is asleep, nothing can wake her up (except for the smell of food).
Though only a month old,she LOVES meat.
NO milk,NO dog food,NO egg..
YES meat.
And she goes crazy when she smells it.

She is so friendly and playful,
but she is not with dogs of any size,
Only with people.

She loves to follow around,
Being a 'busy-body',
Checking out everything,
Even the fridge.

She smells like a baby now,
Powdery,
Bathed her everyday,
cos before this,
it was the smell of milk.
Gives me a headache when i smell her.

She can 'shi shi' on the newspaper herself but the poop part,
she doesn't seem to get it yet.
This morning, received a BIG PRESENT from her.

Good luck,Lexie's daddy..

At 5am,heard her little bell and woke up to check on her.
The moment i set my feet on the floor, there she comes.
Mouth opened, ready to chew on my toes.
Didn't want to let me sleep after that.
Tried to climb up my bed but failed.
So..what did she do?
CRY..
Had to give in to her.
Put my hand on the floor and let her chew,
while i was half asleep.

Today is going to be the last day.
Going to pass her to her daddy tomorrow.
Going to miss her so much.
But,at least i can still take her back to play whenever i want.
=)

Lexie's daddy..
You better spend lots of time with her.
Feed her,
Play with her,
Let her bite you,
Teach her,
Let her sleep with you on the bed,
And LOVE her.
(Don't think it is that difficult to love her)

Baby Lex playing with my sis..

Baby Lex,
Be good,
Don't torture your daddy,
Help him out in taking care of you,
Hope you will be happy there,
Will go and see you as often as possible,
Hope you will be a beautiful little princess.

Miko eating meat

This morning,i had to feed Miko,my pet tortoise. What i will usually do is,pluck a leaf from the jambu tree as his plate, put the meat on it and then wait for him to eat if my dogs are out.The dogs will try to steal his food,so i had to be there till he is done, like today.

Some updates about my puppies

Remember my two puppies?Chiko and Poppy...

First of all, they are no longer small and cute. They are taller and stronger now. When they stand on their hind legs, they can reach my shoulders.

Besides their physical difference, their personalities are becoming more apparent nowadays.

Chiko..he is obedient. He is there when you call him and mostly does what he is told.He loves to eat and play with ball (wonder what happen
ed to the rubber balls i bought for him).He is more attached to me compared to Poppy, maybe because i was the one who was bathing him every 5 days when his skin had problem..so he is kind of 'manja' with me sometimes. But,he is not smart compared to Poppy.

Poppy...i think is the total opposite of Chiko.S
he is not obedient. She only does what she likes. She eats when she wants to.She loves to play but not with toys. She always teases with Chiko and Brownie so that they will play with her.And..she is very smart. She knows how to pick up the mangos that dropped from the tree, bring them to the garden, tear the newspaper wrapping them and eat them. She knows how to open the gate that we locked them in.And today,i realised she also knows how to go get the letters.Unfortunately, the letters do not end up at our door. They are torn into pieces on the garden. We didn't teach her any of that..she just learnt from watching us doing it.Mum suggested that we should do something else and see if she will learn.

Going blind

As you all know...i now have 3 dogs at home,2 of them are pups.

This is not about the pups but about the other one,Brownie. He is almost 12 dog years which is equivalent to 84 human years.Recently,we found him to be so inactive,no running around, not much barking except when he gets excited about his daily walk, keep following anyone who passes him,basically..just not like how he was.

And then one day, when we were having our dinner and he was as usual, sitting beside, waiting for his DINNER as well..we noticed that if we move the food in front of him, there were no response from him.He just stared at the same place when the food would have been on his right or left. After awhile, then only will he move..

So,the next day,we went to the vet without him.It is a nightmare bringing him cause he gets so nervous and scared that he whines and anybody who has to hold him will be all scratched. We told the vet about his condition and hoping that there will be a cure.He said it must be a cataract.Operation can be performed but the technology and all that kind of stuff have not reached Malaysia. In other countries,to do it is EXPENSIVE.Alternatives?.....N-O-N-E.Not even anything to apply or medicine to stop the progress.Only thing is to take some vitamins with the hope that it will not deteriorate.

It is so difficult nowadays as he keeps walking into things. Can't imagine what it is like for him slowly losing his sight.Even if we have to pay a thousand or so,and considering that his life span is only up to 13-14 years,we still think it is worth it.Not only is it easier for us,but he also does not have to suffer.

Human cataract can be removed so easily nowadays....why can't they figure out something for the dogs as well and have it in Malaysia?

Growth of the pups

I said before that i will update you all on the puppies progress but then..was so busy taking them for their jabs and at the same time travelling up and down Penang..didn't have the time to blog about it.

So,i thought i might as well summarise them in a post.I think the photos are enough to tell how much they have grown.........

A lot of difference?

Sick,sick,sick

Yesterday night..suddenly found Chiko vomitting nonstop and he looked so kesian.Usually he will be so active and jumpy when we go near the cage to get him out.But he was not yesterday.Stayed in the box which we put in the cage just in case they are cold at night. And if i am not wrong he vomitted more than 10 times...

Luckily it has stopped this morning but we still brought him and Poppy to the vet.His wound is not getting better and her itch is not getting better also. The vet gave both of them an injection each, medication to reduce the itch and medication to apply for Chiko because of the wound on his ear.

Pity the vet...I think he is kind of tired with my sister and me cause we have been going there nonstop because of the pups and Brownie(my the other dog).He told us that he will hide the next time he sees us coming in the door.Sorry for bothering you,doc..we got no choice but to disturb you when the pups looked so pitiful.. =)

I will be going back to Penang tomorrow after the one week break. So praying very hard that when i return next week they will be okay..

Hari Raya in Lunas

Every year..without fail,we(my family and i) will go back to Lunas. So,here is what i did this time..

Having cendol in Lunas. This place has the BEST cendol(according to my mummy). So we HAVE to have it every time we go back there. The only thing that can stop us sometimes is lazy to drive so far in the hot weather. But it didn't stop us this time.

Then there is the bonding time..Chiko with the mummy,Poppy and Snoopy.I was to busy to blog about Chiko being here in AS with me..a lot of cleaning, clearing and seeing the vet since he arrived. Here are some photos Chiko at home and Chiko in Lunas.

Oh ya..now not only is Chiko here but Poppy as well.Poppy is here to get the vaccine done and then she will be going back to Lunas. These are some photos of them in the car.The cage where the pups are suppose to be in the car but..this 'mummy' and 'papa' cannot resist pampering them.

Before heading back home, papa stopped at his friend's house to get some wildboar meat(Yap!he went hunting with them) There were lots of things to see and blog about.

1) In front of the house is a man made pond with lots of fishes which can be eaten. The pond was dug to attract the swallows.

2) Ducks which used to be for MEAL.Now he doesn't keep a lot of them because the amount of food that they consume are costing too much.

3) The swallow keeping. The bird sound has to be played 24-7 and i find it so NOISY even though i was there less than an hour.Is it worth tolerating that for the N.O.?
4) Plucking the coconuts and enjoying them FRESH.

5) I don't know what this is called but in Hokkien it is called...'tau kee'.This small hut like thing is located near there and mummy wanted to buy some.Didn't manage to get more photos as we are not used to the people. Will try and get more photos of the process IF i can get my godma to bring me to her friend's.

Next is lunch in Bertam.Since papa found that this place has nice food,we have been going there if we are travelling during meal time and either back from or to Lunas. Now,there is a stall selling rojak which is not bad also as an appetizer before the FOOD.

Finally...TRAFFIC JAM in ALOR STAR.
