For one week I had to be the MUMMY of the house. And i really mean mummy as in everything from taking care of my siblings to taking care of the house but no cooking. It was definitely an eye opening experience to how life will be in the future.
I have had experiences before this but its usually with an adult supervision,my grandparents. So i don't really have the whole responsibility to me and me alone. This time because both my grandmothers are busy,i had to do it all by myself and not for a day or two but the whole entire week.
The thought of it scares me at first but i managed to overcome when the time came.Just lock all the doors and be careful. In the mornings, wake up early and send brother to school. When back home,it will be me alone after sister has gone to work. The entire half day will be spent cleaning the house, making sure there is water to drink, watching tv,sleeping or staring at the four walls.A little pathetic in the morning.
After that, when siblings are back, then back to the usual..chatting and joking, making sure brother does his work (being the STEPMOTHER),sending him to tuition and all that.At night, lock the doors and go to bed early.
The routine was the same the whole entire week except for Thursday,Friday and Saturday.
Thursday was nice cause at last,no more cater food.Had Japanese food with a family friend to celebrate her birthday.Besides that, because we are so used hanging out with them, conversations was FUN (after being deprived from them a few days). What did we talk about?Umm...Shh....Not telling =) Then at night, came back home, carried mattresses to the living room and enjoyed a night watching movie and sleeping late.
Friday....I was so happy because it wasn't the usual weekdays.Had breakfast with family friend, went out bowling (I didn't cause my fingernail always chip off),a little shopping and lunch at Kenny Rogers. Then went back home and not long after that....MY DANCE CLASS =) At night went out for dinner with family friend and then, movie night back home.
Saturday....A little tired from the late night. But could get up also cause there was a lot to do.Need to clean the house before parents get back and that includes gardening, washing the porch and bathing the dog.Managed to get siblings to help out so it was quite fun, bonding time.By the time we were done,it was 12pm and still haven't had breakfast.Hungry like mad but had to prepare lunch because relatives were coming.Relatives came and MUMMY life is sort of back to normal cause there are adults around.Spent the day entertaining them and bringing them out for dinner. After that, went to fetch mummy and papa.I get to become the DRIVER of the PAJERO....but...when going back....because papa will ALWAYS drive...i was demoted not only to the passenger but was kicked all the way to the BACK and because there were luggage,i cant have the seats down.Ya...i squatted all the way back home.
What a 'NICE' way to end the week.

Deep Freeze
Deep Freeze by Thom Racina
Deep Freeze..by the looks of it,this is not something that i will purchase. The type that i will buy is ones that have a photo of a person and the book is about their lifes. Then how did i end up buying it?
Well,i puchased this book from either Popular or MPH bookstore when i was studying in KL.I have a fixed allowance each month and i spend a lot mostly on travelling. So one day when i was at the mall,i decided to survey some books and see if there is anything interesting. While surveying,i realised that there are certain books among the expensive ones that are really cheap..RM5 or RM10..and they don't look old or anything like that. That's how i ended buying this book and a few more.
When i went back to my college,i was so happy that i finally have something else to do besides staring at the wall if my roommate is not around.Started a few pages of it and found it interesting. It is about a part of America (read it some time ago so don't remember exactly where) slowly freeze and how the people survive because they are not prepared for something like that.Houses collapsed, people being killed,no transportation,no food,no clothing,no electricity and etc.How did they survive? You will have to read to find out.
One thing special about this book is that when you read it,you et so into it that you will feel cold just like how they feel. That happened to me.REALLY..At college, there is only a ceiling fan.I was ended up putting my blanket and it was in the AFTERNOON.
Conclusion...you should try reading this book.

Baby fish
Recently,I have been so into keeping fish and water plants.A friend got me into it by telling how wonder it is,supplying me with the aquarium to try out and etc...
Dogs
Today, after doing my daily routine of cleaning the house, feeding the fishes and watering the plants...went to watch tv.Astro Hallmark,The Oprah Winfrey Show. This episode was about dogs.Started off with how to train the dogs to be obedient and then the Guiness World Record Dogs...
The tallest dog in the world...Its name is Gibson,a Great Dane and it is REALLY TALL.When it stands on his two hind legs,it is more 7 feet.Isn't that a WOW?
Then there is the smallest dog....Its name is Brandy,a Chihuahua and this one is really small. If i have a dog that is so small,i am so afraid that i will accidentally step on it.Really...It is that small.
What happens when you put the two of them together?Want to know...?Check this website...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMlgNnX6UaM&feature=related

Drive,drive,drive
Friday is the only day in the week that i look forward to.Why?Not because there is no school or tuition like it used to be before...It's because i get to go for dance class.
I didn't know i had interest in it until a friend of mine asked if i wanted to learn. From then on,i could not let go of it.This is something i really love to do..my one real hobby.
So,since i am so free now,so much time to kill,i decided to continue learning.I learnt the rhumba the last time and this time,it's the cha cha.Rhumba was fun and i enjoyed it a lot especially learning it with my best friend. We would joke around with the instructor but at the end of it,still managed to learn the entire thing. Not bad, right?
So,now, the cha cha.It is quite fast compared to the rhumba....Hence,i find it a little more difficult. The basic such as the hip movemants and the cha cha walk,is okay..When it comes to the steps and following the music...my legs get tangled up.Either that or i will end up standing there and staring at the instructor. So,that's basically it for now.Hope that i will improve.
Why is the title drive when i am talking all about dance?
Getting to it now.The place where i am learning is...FAR.How far?Let me see...a 20 minutes drive with no traffic. It is not fun driving alone and all the way there.Even to drum lessons which was half or one third of the distance...i was dreading it.Imagine...
But because.....DANCE....i will start the car and get moving.
So,today was like an ordinary Friday, dreading the drive to lesson but because....DANCE...i was there......to find out that the class was CANCELLED.The only thing that i was thinking of was the drive back and also........THE CALL I MADE IN THE AFTERNOON TO CHECK WHETHER THERE WAS CLASS..and she said class is on like normal.
After that?I think you will be able to guess....
Now,here i am blogging...instead of.....TWO,THREE,CHA CHA CHA......
SIGH.......
Artist?
Recently, since life is so boring,i decided to help my sister and her friend out in their 'homework'.It ended up very fun and i did something that i never thought i could do....PAINT.
So,what do you think?

Recipe - Pan mee
'Mee Khau' (That's what it was called when i was young) Lately, there seemed to be another name for it...'Pan Mee'.This has been my favourite since i was young.Love it for its simplicity.Though it is simple...somehow i didn't really get into cooking it myself until lately. That also because i had no choice.
So,that's how i can write down the recipe today.
Dough
-3 cups of flour
-3/4 cup of water and egg
-3 tablespoons of oil
Soup
-Fish bones
-'mengkuang'
-Ginger
'Mani chai'
Mushroom
Carrot
Mix all the ingredients to make the dough.Boil water with all the ingredients for the soup.Fry the 'mani chai',mushroom and carrot until cooked. When the soup is done, add the fried vege and mushroom.Tear the dough THINLY into the boiling soup.Serve it with fried 'ikan bilis',fried garlic...and not to forget the cili padi.
