Bazaar at stadium

Today, decided to visit the bazaar at Stadium with sister and family friend at 4.30pm..So,as you all can guess,it was SUPER HOT.Before we could even enter the bazaar,we were already sweating..Can imagine how we were like after it..

How is it like in a bazaar?

The place is filled with smoke. Before we even entered, from far we can see the smoke going out and up into the sky.

Then, there is the crowd. When we went, there wasn't that much of a crowd yet because it is still early. Most of the people are still at work and it is still long before break fast.

Next is the food available...Some of them i have not even tried before in my life. But then,i am not so adventurous.Maybe will try the next time.

There were drinks of different colours too...

It was really fun going to the bazaar (especially with a camera) So,if there is one near your place, give it a try.

Bali Hai in Penang

Yesterday,my cousin, sister and I decided to go and try a new place at Gurney. What made us do so?Thursday,we have badminton and last week we pass Gurney to send another cousin home. So,we saw this place so crowded at 9 something and it was not even a weekend yet. Then i asked if my cousin has tried eating there.Since her answer was no,and how i was telling her about taking photos of our makan-makan and blog about it...we decided to give it a try.

Here are the photos...

Comment?

It is quite a nice place with car park (So if you are eating there, don't need to park along the roadside because it costs $$$..that was what i did before i discovered about it,but it was too late)

The food was NICE.We were so GREEDY..why do i say so?Can you imagine THREE GIRLS eating EIGHT dishes and each dish is made for THREE.We ordered...noodles,vegetables,bamboo like shell (we thought they were quite cheap but it turned out for each shell it was RM16),scallop,prawns,crab,lala and lobster..So,you can imagine how bloated we felt after dinner and also how much we had to pay for it.So..for seafood-lovers and those who are not afraid of high colestrol,it is worth giving it a try but have to make sure you bring enough $$$ or a credit card.

These are some photos of the three greedy and people while waiting for the food and also of what we did after dinner before going back.

And THIS is what happened to my tummy after eating the EIGHT dishes..so who said i can't be fat? (So happen i took a photo and someone commented on my blog that i don't become fat..)

So,if you want to go there and eat...bring more people so that you can order and try more things, park at the car park provided and bring more $$$.... =)

Weekend in Penang

My first weekend in Penang since i started studying here.

Didn't go back because my cousin delivered. It is a baby boy and he is so CUTE.My sister and i went to the hospital a few times mostly after class because it is near to our college. For those who know about my 'thing' with the hospital..i SURVIVED!Nothing happened and i think it is mainly because i was too busy looking at the cute babies in the nursery =)

My cousin came back yesterday but the baby didn't.So,there wasn't much i can help since what my cousin needed most was rest.SO..what did my sister and me end up doing yesterday...?

We went for breakfast with my aunt..Had noodle soup which was alright. Then,we went to the market..and was questioned so many times, practically at every stall we stopped at,whether we were my aunt's daughter.I don't know why..After marketing,we came back home to find out that the baby isn't coming home today,so my sister and i decided to go TESCO to do a little shopping and we bumped into one of our lecturer.Came back from shopping and it's back to the room...finished reading my novel, studied a chapter about macro economy, had dinner (fried rice and sarawak laksa),watch The O.C. then went to sleep.

The conclusion from this weekend..i think weekdays there are fun and weekends will be also IF my cousin was around..But nothing can beat going back home because i WILL have things to do no matter what happens.

TATU

25th August,8pm at Stadium Darul Aman..the last event held for the Golden Jubilee of Kedah's Sultan..TATU TENTERA DARAT...not the Miami Ink tattoo okay? This TATU means performance like marching, band and formation...by the army.

Was there at 8pm and by the time the event started with interesting stuff,it was already 9pm.Had to wait in that hot weather and was so sweaty.

It started off with the marching in accompanied by the band. Then as usual, speech to mark the starting of the event. After that....FIREWORKS which was so beautiful, the fire that lit up the words Jubli Emas 50 and Daulat Tuanku, people flying down from the roof of the stadium with fireworks on their shoes.

Then, there was a little about the history and they acted it out.The sound effects were good cause when there was suppose to be a real grenade,it really sounded so and made everyone's heart skipped a beat. After that,a little about the self defence the army has to know,a show by the police dogs, something about race cars, gymnastics and the people standing on bikes doing various things...

Too long for me to describe all..so i will just let you see some of the photos i took.

Sorry

So sorry for not updating my blog..Since college started,it has been really busy.

Studies..I have a lot of catching up to do cause received text books two weeks late. So,can you imagine sitting for 3 subjects and some lecturers covering two or three chapters a week each.By the time i can catch up to what they have thought before, there is the new chapters to study..

Staying at my aunt's place....you know how comfortable life can be with people to talk to and tv to entertain..and even though i can't watch the normal channels but then there is the DVD player.

My week on the whole...i spend half the week in Penang and half back home in Alor Star.My week in Penang starts on Monday evening..Tuesday and Wednesday classes will be until late in the evening so at night i will be resting, will try to study but then only sometimes it can enter into my rusty head...Thursday classes finish at lunch time so after that i will study and in the evening i have badminton with sister and cousins until night.By the time i finish will only think of dinner and then to bed...Friday classes finish at lunch time also but after that it is rush hour until i am in the bus on the way home...Once back home...i am not sure how i spend my time, but it is always not enough to fit in a little time to study. That's why my books that i carry back have been reducing from SIX to THREE to ONE.

That's basically how i spend my whole week and now with Olmpics going on,it is even worse.

Hopefully i will be able to blog more frequently from now on...I will try to blog about....food in Penang cause that is is how i spend most of my free time.
